According to Rolling Stone, the ATLien will be returning to store shelves with his first album without group member Big Boi. Rather than giving an exact date, Andre hinted at when he expects to release the currently untitled project.

Two days ago a judge ordered Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane to serve one year in prison for violating the terms of his probation.

According to myfoxatlanta.com, after pleading no contest to a 2005 assault charge, Gucci Mane (born Radric Davis) was sentenced to 6 months in jail and required to serve 6 and a half years of probation.

The terms of his probation required the Atlanta-based rapper to serve 600 hours of community service however in the 3 years that he has been out Gucci has only logged 25 hours total. Along with revealing that information at today's hearing, authorities also said that Gucci tested positive for ecstasy, marijuana and alcohol at a probation meeting.

As a result, the judge revoked one year of his probation and ordered him back to jail.  After serving one year behind bars, Gucci will still have 2.5 years of probation and 600 hours of community service ahead of him.

Ludacris wrote a record for me.”

While no official title has been chosen, she did confess to playing with a few different names including “The L Word.”

“Since people want to play games, I like to jab back sometimes just for fun,” she added. “But I’m like, ‘Nah, that’s too much energy wasted.’”

Following-up her 2007 jazz-based album Trav’lin Light, the female rap icon will be returning to her hip-hop roots as she addresses a range of topics dealing with people’s actions and decisions in life. Latifah confessed that’s she doesn’t even know who else is involved with the project.

“I did all my parts and then I went on vacation,” she explained. “So they put people on it while I was gone and they’ve been waiting to talk to me to surprise me. I’m actually supposed to talk to them and find out who the hell is on that damn album. I’m sure there is no one on there I don’t like.”

The untitled album is currently scheduled to drop winter 2008 on Motown Records.

Each state has a number of electors equal to the number of its Senators and Representatives in the United States Congress. Additionally, the District of Columbia is given a number of electors equal to the number held by the smallest states.[4] U.S. territories are not represented in the Electoral College.

Each elector casts one vote for President and one vote for Vice President. In order to be elected, a candidate must have a majority (at least 270) of the electoral votes cast for that office. Should no candidate for President win a majority of the electoral votes, the choice is referred to the House of Representatives.[5] Should no candidate for Vice President possess a majority of the electoral votes, the choice is given to the Senate.[6]

...basically your vote amounts to sh*t don't believe me look it up

Dear Comcast High-Speed Internet Customer,

We appreciate your business and strive to provide you with the best online experience possible. One of the ways we do this is through our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The AUP outlines acceptable use of our service as well as steps we take to protect our customers from things that can negatively impact their experience online. This policy has been in place for many years and we update it periodically to keep it current with our customers' use of our service.

On October 1, 2008, we will post an updated AUP that will go into effect at that time.

In the updated AUP, we clarify that monthly data (or bandwidth) usage of more than 250 Gigabytes (GB) is the specific threshold that defines excessive use of our service. We have an excessive use policy because a fraction of one percent of our customers use such a disproportionate amount of bandwidth every month that they may degrade the online experience of other customers.

250 GB/month is an extremely large amount of bandwidth and it's very likely that your monthly data usage doesn't even come close to that amount. In fact, the threshold is approximately 100 times greater than the typical or median residential customer usage, which is 2 to 3 GB/month. To put it in perspective, to reach 250 GB of data usage in one month a customer would have to do any one of the following:

* Send more than 50 million plain text emails (at 5 KB/email);
* Download 62,500 songs (at 4 MB/song); or
* Download 125 standard definition movies (at 2 GB/movie).

And online gamers should know that even the heaviest multi- or single-player gaming activity would not typically come close to this threshold over the course of a month.

In addition to modifying the excessive use policy, the updated AUP contains other clarifications of terms concerning reporting violations, newsgroups, and network management. To read some helpful FAQs, please visithttp://help.comcast.net/content/faq/...-Excessive-Use.

Thank you again for choosing Comcast as your high-speed Internet provider.

 Vibe magazine have spoken out to the rumors that they airbrushed Ciara's nude cover and that she was going to sue them...apparently they didn't. The Vibe rep also said that they may just make the unretouched pics available on the internet!

Rap star Eminem will be interviewed by his own Sirius radio station, Shade 45, to discuss the 20th anniversary of indie record label Delicious Vinyl.

The rapper, who’s been most known the last few years for being underneath the radar, will be joined by Delicious Vinyl’s co-founder Mike Ross. The Los Angeles based label, founded in 1987, is most known for signing legendary West Coast artists The Pharcyde and Masta Ace, whom Eminem has touted for years as being one of his greatest influences.

In VIBE’s September Juice issue, Eminem spoke sincerely about his own overall impact. “There were others before me,” he said, “but in a sense, I blew the door open for people of other nationalities to actually do this.”

As DX announced yesterday, Kanye West is rumored to be releasing an album by year's end . Various unconfirmed reports surfaced that Ye's next single titled "Love LockDown" will be available on iTunes this coming Monday. Heads have been spinning trying to verify the rumors, but now it looks like we might all be getting that highly anticipated confirmation from the man himself.

According to XXLmag.comKanye West is set to announce his new album this weekend at the MTV Video Music Awards. A source in Kanye's management camp told XXLmag late yesterday that "official word" on the new album will be coming Sunday night during his "explosive finale" closing out the show.

Last year, Kanye released his third album titled Graduation, and defeated 50 Centin a much-publicized first-week sales showdown. The two rappers appeared on last year's VMAs to promote their projects and the musical rivalry.

The VMAs air live on MTV Sunday, September 7 from Los Angeles.

Hip-Hop power broker Steve "The Comissioner" Stoute is set to receive his highest award achievement on November 18, as the accomplished executive will be honored and inducted into the American Advertising Federation's Advertising Hall of Fame.

The prestigious award is decided by the American Advertising Federation, the senior and most esteemed organization in the advertising industry.

"Getting accepted into the advertising hall is something that I proudly accept on behalf of the entire Hip-Hop community," Stoute told AllHipHop.com. "This will open up doors for diversity in general market advertising which the industry definitely needs."

Stoute is the co-founder of Translation, a joint advertising firm he runs with fellow mogul and rapper, Jay-Z.

The company's focus is partnering music stars with corporate brands as spokespersons.

To date, the company has brokered deals with Beyonce (Tommy Hilfiger), Chris Brown (Double Mint Gum), Justin Timberlake (McDonalds), Gwen Stefani (Hewlett-Packard), and Jadakiss (Reebok).

Stoute's recognition as a Hip-Hop representative will set a precedent, since the award has historically been reserved for major executives of Fortune 500 companies.

Acutely aware of this, Stoute expects to see many ambitious minorities follow in his footsteps.

"Hopefully young, talented African-Americans and Latinos with ideas and creativity will look at this accomplishment and become inspired to get into the communication industry," he states.

Steve Stoute is well known as the former manager of Queens lyricist Nas, assisting in crafting the rapper's image for It Was Written (1996) and 1997's supergroup project The Firm: The Album.

Recently, Stoute partnered with Mary J. Blige to create the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN), an organization focused on the upliftment of women.

After a year long boycott against MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMAs), Kanye West has shown a change of heart and decided to close the annual event with a performance this weekend.

This unreleased joint from LAURYN HILL has all the characteristics of a song thrown in the storage room: boring, monotone, and should feature J. Holiday-- 'cause it can easily put you to bed.

http://www.zshare.net/audio/181327384223a61c/

The sound quality on this joint is low, so turn your volume up.

Not too many people talking about this song. Why? Because... well nobody really cares.

Remember Lauryn Hill alongside Lil' Wayne's Ma Dukes Whoopie Goldberg in "Sister Act"? The explosion of the Fugees? Lauryn Hill as an impressive solo act? After experiencing so much success, Lauryn seemed to have been brought to her knees. It's been over a decade since The Fugees dropped what became the multi platinum The Score. Back in '05 they made an attempt to pull together and make it work, but it didn't work. And it wont. The released joint, "Take It Easy," didn't do a thing.

"We went in the studio and recorded a couple records that were incredible. But, to put it nicely, it's dead," Pras told Billboard.com back in July of '07. "Me and Clef, we on the same page, but Lauryn [Hill] is in her zone, and I'm fed up with that sh*t. Here she is, blessed with a gift, with the opportunity to rock and give and she's running on some bullsh*t? I'm a fan of Lauryn's but I can't respect that."

"When we was working on the album, I was like, [to Lauryn], 'You need to do this like this,"  Wyclef told (the now folded) Scratch Magazine back in July of last year. "[And] she says, 'How do you know what's relevant? I haven't heard anything from you in the past like three, four years?' ... Lauryn is straight up the problem, bro."

There you have it.

After looking like a cooning clown lunatic on stage during a performance in Brooklyn last year, it became widely accepted that Lauryn had kind of lost her mind and probably wasn't getting it back any time soon.

The prodigal son has returned. Cam'ron has resurfaced on the streets of Harlem, lending proof to the belief that theDipset head honcho is on the verge of ending his long hiatus from the game. NowwutTV.com scooped the exclusive footage of Cam & crew rolling through the Uptown blocks to do a little shopping, stunting and of course sh*t talking.
